How do you feel about Trump saying Ukraine 'should have never started war with Russia'?
Last Updated: 28.06.2025 04:10

Trump doesn’t care.
Ukraine’s resistance destroys the U.S. geopolitical authority.
Why is Trump saying such things?

Trump’s statements yesterday are sending shockwaves in Ukraine: speaking at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, on February 18, 2025, Trump said that Ukraine “should have never started” a war with Russia.
But Trump didn’t cut aid to Ukraine.
Ukraine now is the unelected leader of the free world — standing for what is right, standing for freedom, for loyalty, for the core moral values.
That’s Putin’s plan.
Trump didn’t count on that.
Because Trump genuinely wants to end the war in Ukraine.

It shows his impotence.
The reason for only 52% support for Zelenskyy is… Trump!
And that’s why the war cannot be ended.

Trump doesn’t care for where the line of separation will be between Russia and Ukraine-controlled zones — but Russia and Ukraine do.
So, he kept talking about it and it became one of the cornerstones of his policies. He promised to end the aid to Ukraine, because it resonated with part of his base. It also resonated with Putin — and Putin ordered Russian bot farms to support Trump. (I’m not saying that Putin did it in collusion with Trump — Putin did it because he liked the idea.)
If a pro-Russia candidate won in Ukraine, Putin would be happy to sign any peace deal. Putin would later change the Ukrainian constitution and turn Ukraine into another Belarus.

Putin isn’t happy.
“I think I have the power to end this war, and I think it’s going very well. But today, I heard, ‘Oh, well, we weren’t invited.’ Well, you’ve been there for 3 years. You should have ended it.”
He made the promise to “end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours” without thinking, just saying outrageous things as he always does — and suddenly this one got traction.
And now the Riyadh negotiations turned into a total flop. Putin now refuses to meet Trump — and Trump is left with the war he vouched to be able to end, and Europe that is totally pissed off with Trump’s minions lecturing them on democracy.
But now, suddenly, Ukraine isn’t doing what the U.S. demands from it. And neither does Europe.
Ukraine having its own agency is something that Vladimir Putin denies, alleging that Ukraine is just a pawn used by the U.S. in its proxy war against Russia.

Of course, Trump wishes that Ukraine never resisted, when Russia invaded.

But he tries to pretend that things are “going according to plan” (we know another guy who does the same).
He’s now forever going to be hunted by this “24-hour end of war” promise, which he cannot deliver upon. Not in 24 hours, not in 100 days.

Trump topped it up, stating that Zelenskyy’s rating in Ukraine was only 4% — an obvious lie, because Zelenskyy’s support in Dec.2024 polls was 52% (only 49% of those who came to the polling booths voted for Trump in Nov.2024).

So, I suppose, if Russia invaded Alaska, Trump wouldn’t send troops to defend it. He would have “made a deal” — like, Russia keeps half and the U.S. keeps half. Or maybe, split it 1/3 and 2/3. Trump would “make a good deal.”
Next to Russia?
But it also shows the U.S. impotence.

Zelenskyy also cancelled his scheduled visit to Saudi Arabia, where the U.S. and Russian delegations were meeting, and instead flew to Turkey — a NATO country that’s just kicked Russia out of Syria.
Trump’s secret advisors (Elon Musk) tell him that the peace deal can’t be signed with Zelenskyy as the president. Putin wants elections in Ukraine during the war time, confident that Russia can use it to split the unity in Ukraine.
Trump is obviously not happy that Zelenskyy didn’t sign his “deal” giving the U.S. 50% of income from the Ukrainian minerals, ports, and infrastructure.
“I could have made a deal for Ukraine,” Trump stated.
And where the U.S. is standing now?
Because too many people answered “not sure” to the poll — fearing that Zelenskyy was about “to give away Ukrainian territories.” Because of all the Trump’s speeches about “24-hour peace in Ukraine”.
